Meet Your Artist: Alisha Bridges
From a young age, Alisha has always been drawn to artistic expressions of creativity as an outlet. One of the artist's first realistic renderings was of a childhood toy scrawled on the back of a brown paper bag in crayon. Nowadays, everywhere Alisha goes you can expect her to carry a sketchbook, paints, a pen, or all of the above to capture the beauty in the everyday scenes around her.
Growing up in upstate South Carolina, finding beauty in the common and seeking out uncommon beauty have both come easily to the artist. Often the subjects of her landscapes are places seen during travel, but on occasion, it's also the beauty of a nearby farm or stream that inspires her pieces.
Summer travels are a pastime for this artist who is also a full time teacher during the school year. Sharing the love of learning and an appreciation for the beauty of the art all around us inspires her to keep pressing forward!
